Bison Show Strength During Scrimmages

The Geary Bison under first year David Ellis, made a strong showing Friday, Aug. 21 in scrimmages against Waukomis and Covenant high schools. Coach David Ellis said he thought the team played hard, really went out and were competitive. They got better as a team as they played. “We still have a long way to go, we just have to keep grinding and get better every day,” Ellis said. Watonga Eagles Soar During Merritt, Cordell Scrimmages

The Watonga Eagles went to scrimmages Aug. 21 against the Merritt High School Oilers of Elk City and the Cordell High School Blue Devils in Cordell. Head coach Zac Maynard said he saw a lot of good plays during the outing but added there was a lot for his team to work on as well.

Lady Bison Dominate at Verden Festival

The Lady Bison softball team is off to a fast start going 5-2 in the first seven games, picking up four wins Aug. 15 at the Verden festival. The Lady Bison will face Dover and Crossings Christian this week before hosting the Geary Festival Aug. 22.
