The football skills and drills camp is coming up from 10-11:30 a.m. July 31- Aug. 2. Cleats are not necessary and neither is pre-registration. Registration is on the first day of camp. Fee is $50.

Three Year Olds Can Enroll Now

Geary Public Schools has announced its threeyear- old program. The classes are held in the Baby Bison Learning Center, and children must be three years old on or before September 1 to attend. They do not have to live inside the district to receive services.

New Teacher Profile - Abbi Billyeu Abbi Billyeu will be a fourth grade math and science teacher at Geary this year. She is a first year teacher and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Added Duties Announced

When the Watonga School Board entered into executive session July 10, it agreed to hire Jessica Taylor, Renee Ross and Joan Holie on a temporary contract for the 2023-24 school year. Ross and Holie will be on half days. The board also hired Trina Hansford as support staff.

Softball practice starts

Practice for middle school and high school softball began Monday. It continues at 8 a.m. each day through Friday. Participants must have a current sports physical to participate.

Or summer band

High school students: summer band is quickly approaching! It will be from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. July 31 – Aug. 4. It is required for all high school band members. This week of practice will be equivalent to an entire month of in-class rehearsals.
