Watonga Lanes to Hold Fundraiser for Wrestlers

WATONGA – The Watonga Lanes bowling alley is hosting a fundraiser on Friday, May 19, to help two Watonga wrestlers attend a national competition. Ernesto Duenez and Stoney Hutson qualified for a national competition in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling this spring.

After a rainout on Thursday, the Watonga Eagles baseball team traveled to Stroud on Friday, April 29 for District play. The No. 17-ranked Stroud Eagles’ offense exploded for 32 runs over two games and bounced Watonga from the playoffs in the best-of-three series.
