Oklahoma to defend Women's College World Series title

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma is back to try to defend its national championship at the Women’s College World Series.

Academic All-Stars

Several scholastics opportunities culminated in the High School Tournament of Champions at Redlands Community College last month. Twelve students participated in several testing areas; 19 test scores were in the Top Ten in the State; 2 test scores were in the Top Three.

Saving 'Old Gym' Would Add Expense to Bond, GPS Says

GEARY — Salvaging the gymnasium attached to the current Geary High School would cost an additional $1.6 million above projected bond costs, Superintendent Sean Buchanan said last week, increasing the price tag for a new school project that already comes in over $30 million.

Hoops Camp

Watonga basketball coaches hosted a Skills Camp this week for Watonga students from third through eighth grade. Geary cheerleaer

Geary cheerleaer Mesa Flippo was named a 2022 All-Star Cheerleader by the Oklahoma Eight Man Football Coaches Association last week. She will cheer at the All-Star game on Saturday, June 18 in Miami, Oklahoma.
