State Hits Over 165,000 Cases

Death Toll Topples 1,600

As of December 4, there were 208,875 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 4,827 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 24 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 1,860.

In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 97 active cases and have had two deaths reported.

There are 18 cases in Canton; 25 cases in Geary; 9 cases in Longdale; 12 cases in Okeene, one in Hitchcock and 30 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.

There are 14,139,557 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 218,203 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 276,325 deaths, up 2,879 since last report. Active cases in the U.S. tally at 8,458,234 up 133,434 while recoveries stand at 5,404,018, up 81,890 since the last report was made.
