Death Toll Topples 2,100
As of December 18, there were 251,760 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 3,556 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 17 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 2,161.
In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 73 active cases.
There are 16 cases in Canton; 6 cases in Geary; 4 cases in Longdale; 6 cases in Okeene, one in Hitchcock and 39 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.
There are 17,206,647 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 233,271 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 310,699 deaths, up 3,270 since last report.
