Death Toll Topples 3,000
As of February 12, there were 406,064 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 1,070 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 53 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 3,870.
In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 100 active cases.
There are 16 cases in Canton; 18 cases in Geary; 6 cases in Longdale; 9 cases in Okeene, 6 in Hitchcock and 46 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.
There are 27,097,095 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 89,727 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 465,072 deaths in the United States, up 1,596 since last report.
