Doncha just hate it when you've finally finished loading the dishwasher after a large meal, turn it on, hand wash everything else that wouldn't fit, and see someone dirtying another glass, plate, bowl, spoon, fork, or knife? Especially when they know there's a large cache of paper plates and bowls as well as plastic cups, knives, forks, and spoons stashed away in the laundry room?

The Blaine County OSU Extension offices are offering barn quilt workshops on Tuesday, April 30 in the Foley Building at the Blaine County Fairgrounds in Watonga. These workshops will begin at 10 a.m. for anyone that would like to create their own barn quilt.

This is National FFA Week. National FFA week activities focus on fun for students of the Watonga public schools that publicize FFA and the opportunities it offers. Watonga FFA started the week with the Blaine County Livestock show and will continue the week with different dress-up days, a coloring contest for the elementary school, drive your tractor to school day, and FFA members helping in the elementary drop-off line.

Oakwood Skating Rink is open every Saturday this month 6-9 p.m. 2/22- Adult Craft time @ Watonga Library 1 p.m.

Sometimes I listen to the national news either as it is broadcast or later when it is carried on subscription channels. Granted, those ‘other’ channels can be a little sketchy because you have to wonder what the agenda is behind them.
