Rodney Jacks Retiring After 28 Years

It was 1996 when Rodney Jacks started with the City of Watonga.He mowed lawns for the Parks Department. He spent about a year as a beat cop. He was a volunteer firefighter. He was on the city council. And then he became the city treasurer.
This Watonga yard is full of summer colors and fun, from the wading pool to the pink flamingos, all surrounded by summer’s trademark, the sunflower. It is enjoyed nearly every afternoon by the youngster who lives here.

Tuesday was election day in Oklahoma. There were few surprises in races of local interest.In statewide elections, Frank Lucas was returned to his seat as U.S. Representative for Oklahoma District 3, garnering 73.02 % of the vote compared to 13.92 % for Darren Hamilton and 13.
