Caddo Retired Educators Meet

The Caddo County Retired Educators held its monthly meeting on March 2. There were 12 members present along with a guest. Vice President Karen Mason called the meeting to order. The reading of minutes from February and roll call was given by reporter Debbie Tyson.

Tara Bomhoff was selected to serve the unexpired term on the Watonga City Council for Ward #2.Interested residents submitted letters of interest to the city and from that the council selected Bomhoff. The opening came to be when Debbie McGee resigned from the council.

Brewer Convicted; Faces Up to 53 Years

After a four-day trial, Carl Anthony Brewer, a former police officer, was found guilty on three counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.The charges were lodged in 2022, alleging that Brewer beginning in or around January 2018, indecently groped a child between the ages of 11 and 15.

When the Watonga City Council met Tuesday in regular session, its first order of business, following the consent agenda was to swear in a newly selected member.Tara Bomhoff was selected from among three applicants.
