Arrests Made in Vandalism

An arrest was made Monday morning of two suspects in the recent spate of vandalism around town. According to Watonga Police Chief Beth Massey, the two were picked up during the early morning hours by officer Monte Goodwin and were booked into the Blaine County Jail.

It was like Christmas. Everyone knew it was coming and tried to get ready for it. Now increases in utility rates are here, but there is little joy to be found. Residents had been told rate hikes were inevitable during a series of town hall meetings where the one-cent sales tax was discussed.

Six Indicted In Connection With Illegal Pot Grows

OKLAHOMA CITY – A Multi-County Grand Jury indicted six individuals today in connection with two separate largescale seizures of illegal marijuana by the Office of the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF) and its partner law enforcement agencies.

When the Watonga School Board met Monday in regular session, it worked through a standard spate of items like financials and principal’s reports. But the bombshell dropped near the end when the board accepted the resignations of four employees, including Alyssa Fuxa and Lauren Campo.
