Tax Cut Legislation Filed Ahead of Session

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka, has filed multiple pieces of legislation regarding personal income tax cuts ahead of the upcoming session of the Oklahoma Legislature.

Hi, everyone! I hope you all had a fun filled New Year. Mine was quiet. John was in bed by 9 o’clock and I stayed up and watched the ball game. I love football. When the game was over I switched over to watch the Nashville countdown show.

City, Mercy Discuss Future of Clinic

When the Watonga City Council met December 19 for its last regular meeting of the year, it faced a hefty agenda. There were several housekeeping items, such as approval of the meeting schedule for council for 2024, generally adhering to the third Tuesday in each month.
This photo shows the proximity of the old Watonga Hospital building and the Mercy Clinic, while the inset (Above, left) illustrates how close the two structures are. The city and Mercy are in discussions over the long term future of the properties, which the city owns and the medical facility leases. The small space betweenthe two could seriously impact the clinic structure in the event of the demolition of the old hospital.

Hydronet Improves Water Management

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State University researchers have partnered with other state and federal entities to improve the management of water resources across the state.

Speeders will soon lose the excuse that they didn’t know the speed limit changed at the Watonga city limits. City council approved December 19 the purchase of solar power radar signs that flash the approaching vehicle’s speed.
