A voter registration event sponsored by the Blaine County Election Board is scheduled Sept. 5-8. The event will be held from 8-4 p.m. at the Blaine County Courthouse, located at 212 N. Weigle, Watonga, in the basement. To register to vote in Oklahoma, you must be a U.S.

When did I become such a stinkin' crotchety old curmudgeon? More and more, I find myself complaining to myself (no one else wants to listen to me whine) about the latest styles, music, tattoos and whippersnappers who treat us like dinosaurs still stuck in the Stone Age. Bah!

Commissioner Tracy Matli has brought the matter to the commission’s attention and said resolution needs to be sooner rather tthan later.

Derelict Lot Plagues County

A derelict property at the corner of Wikoff and Tenth Avenue is becoming a thorn in the side of the Blaine County Commission. The property, at 1021 N. Wikoff, came to the county through delinquent property taxes. Although in the city, it is inside the county’s District # 3.
