Hi, everyone! Well, another week has passed. I don’t know where the time goes. It seems like I write my news and it’s already time to write it again. We are getting some really nice things in for our garage sale. The quilting area is really filling up. Our sale will be the first weekend in August.

Well, y'all, I have had a very productive week. The fact that we have so much stuff, junk, collectibles, if you will, that we have accumulated over the last 50 years has been bothering me for a long time.

Council Hears End of Year Financial Report

When the Watonga City Council met in regular session Tuesday evening, it was faced with a spate of seemingly standard but ultimately important agenda items. First off was the monthly financial report from RS Meacham, delivered by Dacia Phillips.

Pony Bridge Rebuild On Track

Construction on the 1933 Bridgeport Bridge may seem to be taking forever, but Rick Howland, District 4 assistant engineer for urban construction/ maintenance engineer, and Zackary Holt, on-site bridge project engineer for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, said good progress is being made.

Farm Related Startups Get Hand Up

An Oklahoma Farm Bureau plan to develop agricultural businesses has announced its inaugural group of 12 startups for the accelerator program. Each business is in a community with less than 50,000 population and was selected from a large pool of applicants.
