OHCE Week Celebrated

Whether they are raising scholarship money, providing tooth fairy pillows to elementary students, or serving as volunteer county fair superintendents, members of Oklahoma State University Extension’s group, Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE), continue to make a difference every day.

Geary School Board met May 8 in its wrap up for the school year but began by swearing in David Lawson as the board member for seat five. Lawson will complete the unexpired term of Cecil Harrall who resigned in March.

After a semester of planning and hard work, our culinary class hosted their Food Truck Competition today. Each group created a food truck from recycled materials, planned a menu, cooked tasting portions of three items, and served for two hours! We are so proud of their hard work.

Disaster Unemployment Now Open

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – As a result of recent storms, winds and tornadoes, the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) is accepting applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA), which is an unemployment insurance benefit made available for victims of a disaster.
