Board Approves Principal Contracts, Calendar for Next Year When the Watonga School Board met Feb. 13, one of the topics on the agenda was the building principals. The district was lucky this year in that each of the three principals was choosing to remain on the job for 2023-24.

Request Absentee Ballots Now

The deadline to request absentee ballots by mail is approaching. Applications must be received by the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20. Blaine County Election Board Secretary Brenda Rice says absentee voting is available to all voters and can be submitted several ways.

Health Care Can Be Frustrating

My frustration at the institution of medicine at large is growing stronger every day in direct correlation to my rapidly diminishing admiration for some of those in charge. This is not to slander the general population of our health care system, mind you.
