We had a couple from Okeene come for a tour this week. One of the visitors had seen the article in the Oklahoma Today Magazine. She loves antiques and has several. She has a cook stove similar to the one in the kitchen and still uses it.

Hi everyone! How are you doing this week? No Covid, I Hope. I’m doing fine but Tuesday ill be getting a pacemaker put in. I’m praying it all goes well, but I feel confident! I should be home the same day. We had a fairly quiet week at the center. Got the new refrigerator. It sure is nice and big!

Changes Are A'Comin'

There are some big changes coming to the Harris household; not too soon though. I have to ruminate for days (okay, weeks) before we make any changes. I'm not someone who embraces change easily so I usually leave that up to David and hide while it's being implemented.

Earlier this month the Ferguson Chapel board welcomed the installation of a new gazebo on the garden grounds of the chapel. The previous gazebo was lost in 2007 when hurricane Erin roared through.

Watonga's annual Community Band event is scheduled for Aug. 4, but rehearsals are scheduled Aug. 1 and 2 for those wanting to participate. Aaron Clewell, owner of Clewell's Family Hardware and Appliance, is helping coordinate this year's event. He said the rehearsals will begin at 6:30 p.m.
