WATONGA – Blaine County celebrated a successful fair this past weekend at the fairgrounds in Watonga.
In the 4-H and FFA Arena, the livestock show featured cattle, swine, sheep and goats raised by local students.

WATONGA – About $3,300 worth of prescription medication was stolen from Swann Pharmacy last Tuesday, Aug. 24, in a crime police say might be related to other break-ins across the region.
The theft occurred just before 4:30 a.m.

Cheyenne-Arapaho Members to Vote on Lowering Blood Requirement for Membership

CONCHO – On Oct. 5 Cheyenne and Arapaho voters will consider a measure to lower the tribes’ “blood quantum” level, allowing individuals with less American Indian ancestry to become a voting member of the tribes.

Geary 522 Board Picks Pafford as New EMS Provider

GEARY – The board of the Geary 522 ambulance district voted last Tuesday, Aug. 17 to make Pafford EMS the area’s full-time ambulance provider beginning Nov. 25.
Pafford is currently providing interim services for the district after the board dismissed Medic West late last month.
