WATONGA — On Wednesday, Sept. 1, Watonga High School sopho more Mary Barton found herself in the office after wearing a T-shirt her teacher deemed too revealing; it was her third time being “dresscoded” this year, or asked to change or cover up because of a non-compliant outfit.

WATONGA — Officials with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes were in Watonga last Tuesday, Aug. 31, to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Emergency Response Center. Cheyenne and Arapaho Gov. Reggie Wassana was on hand for the ceremony, as was Lt. Gov. Gilbert Miles and Leg.

Geary Preps For Season with 2nd Scrimmage

On Friday, Aug. 27, Geary High School played Coyle and Wetumka on their home field. The scrimmage was the first chance fans got to see the Bison under leadership of the new head coach Jason Goodknight. Against Coyle the Geary Bison scored a play by Nick Wiggins.
