Hi everyone! I hope everything is going good for you. John and I are both doing well. He was excited that squirrel hunting season opened last Saturday. He likes to hunt them. We both like to eat them. We had a good bunch last Friday to eat, and several came in early to play cards.

Nothing In This House Works (Including Me)

I'm a big technologically challenged person. I love all new gadgets but sometimes I'm ready to pull out what little hair I have left. I'm the type of person who expects something to work properly forever once it's been set up. How can they expect me to remember how to reset something?

Watonga Elementary held a retirement party Tuesday for longtime teacher and coach Renee Ross. Dozens of Ross’ co-workers and family members, many of whom she taught herself, gathered in the school library for the celebration. Ross was with the district for 41 years.

Watonga’s first Bikes & BBQ event was held last week downtown, drawing hundreds to the city for two days of food, music and events. Organizer John Morris said the inaugural rally was a huge success.

The Watonga Public Schools Board of Education voted Monday to accept the hiring of several elementary school teachers for next school year.
