Gas Prices on the Rise

Oklahoma gas prices have risen 2.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.82/g today, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,294 stations. Gas prices in Oklahoma are 5.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 40.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Darla Brooks, Pam Ritchey, and Scott Walters pose with donations in an event sponsored by the Watonga Community Theatre. The event gathered over 100 children’s toys and garnered more than $3,200 to be donated to the Blaine County Foster Kids group.

The Blaine County Roundup club hosted a Barrel Race on Dec. 5 in Watonga. According to the group’s Facebook page, this was its first race and the turnout wasn’t “bad.” The group will host another race on Saturday. In the 1D placings, Halli Hodges claimed top prize ($72) on horse Candy Cane.
