Gas Prices on the Rise

Oklahoma gas prices have risen 0.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.84/g today, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,294 stations. Gas prices in Oklahoma are 7.3 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 37.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Giant Cross Project Nears Completion

The vision Kason Oakes had for an 80-foot cross in Watonga took a year to come to fruition, but it’s about to be fully realized. Oakes, the lead pastor at the Watonga Church of the Nazarene, had seen a You Tube video on a similar project in Hennessey.

State Passes 241,000 Cases

As of December 15, there were 241,991 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 2,224 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 14 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 2,086.

Christmas Eve Declared Holiday

The federal government announced this week that Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, will be a holiday. The executive signed by President Donald Trump states that “all executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government shall be closed and their employees excused from duty, on Thursday, Dec.
