The Toy Drive Must Go On!

For more than ten years, Watonga Community Theatre has been sponsoring a toy drive to benefit Blaine County DHS foster kids. The drive works in conjunction with a Christmas play to get the community into the Christmas spirit. This year, however, will look a little different.

The Blaine County Association of Oklahoma Home & Community Education will hold its annual Holiday Bazaar and Santa’s Village from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 6 at the Blaine County Fairgrounds in Watonga. Admission is free and open to the public.

When the Watonga School Board met Monday evening in regular session, there was a new face at the table inside the packed board room. That face was Courtney Robison, who applied for and was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Andy Wigington. Robison has two children in Watonga Public Schools.

Free Pesticide Disposal Event Slated

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State University’s Pesticide Safety Education Program will partner with the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry to host two unwanted pesticide disposal days in the Oklahoma communities of Pond Creek and Clinton.
