State Hits Over 225,000 Cases

Death Toll Topples 1,900

As of December 11, there were 225,453 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 2,460 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 13 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 1,980.

In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 90 active cases and have had zero deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

There are 23 cases in Canton; 17 cases in Geary; 8 cases in Longdale; 7 cases in Okeene, zero in Hitchcock and 31 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.

There are 15,611,014 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 224,452 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 283,141 deaths, up 2,768 since last report. Active cases in the U.S. tally at 9,333,826 up 126,533 while recoveries stand at 5,985,047, up 95,151 since the last report was made.
