State Hits Over 430,000 Cases

Death Toll Topples 4,800

As of March 22, there have been 435,449 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 2,656 in the last 48 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 62 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 4,850.

In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 32 active cases.

There are 10 cases in Canton; one case in Geary; zero in Hitchcock; two cases in Longdale; two cases in Okeene and 16 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.

There are 30,079,282 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 67,443 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 546,822 deaths in the United States, up 1,558 since last report.
