 Hi, everybody! I hope you all had a great 4th of July. We didn’t do anything special, we went up to Canton and checked out all the boats on the lake and the skiers. There were lots of people on the beach. When we came home, we stopped by the airport and watched the fireworks over Watonga.

I know a lot of people are thinking about vacation and heading to the beaches.As a native Floridian – maybe the last one in captivity – let me point out some drawbacks to that plan.First off, the sugar white sands get to 11,000 degrees Fahrenheit about 8:30 a.m.

Oh my gosh! As I write this Memorial Day is a distant memory and I'm left wondering where the entire month disappeared to. No sooner had I hunkered down in my house away from the heat than I discovered Independence Day is just a couple of days away.

EWSHi, everyone! I hope you are all doing good. I’m getting better each day. Today was the first day my brain didn’t feel foggy. Saturday the 6th will be one month since my surgery. It seems like it’s been longer but that’s what the calendar shows.Have you bought fireworks yet?

I spent three weeks in Hell once. You might wonder how one gets to Hell. I rode in atop an 18-hand red mule named Moe.Let me elaborate. You see, I had been hired as camp cook for an outfitter in Hell’s Canyon, Idaho. There is also an Oregon side, but I wasn’t up for that much Hell.

Dear Editor:In March 2023, the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office received information about a threat to a pipeline in Blaine County. Deputies took the report and attempted to contact Clay Cowan. I decided to stay out of it due to my relationship with Clayton Cowan.
