We hit the ground running with the start of the legislative session last week. We began by hearing the State of the State address from Governor Stitt. I appreciated his comments and look forward to working with him as we review legislation and craft our state budget.

It has been a crazy busy couple of days. There was stock show Saturday and Sunday and Tuesday features the Methodist pancake supper, city council meeting and the premium auction fundraiser for the stock show participants.

Tuesday, Feb. 14 is a very important day. Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day, but that isn’t what I’m talking about. It’s election day.
