Eye Can See Clearly Now

I've always had an aversion to making medical appointments, going to medical appointments, and dealing with insurance companies. I particularly dislike going to my eye doctor. Why you ask? Well, I'll tell ya. I've been wearing glasses since the fifth grade.

Do other wives have this problem? I swear my husband thinks he's Mario Andretti racing in the Indianapolis 500 every time we hit the road. I'm afraid one of these days we're going to hit the road literally, if you get my drift.

We had a good turnout for the Halloween Bash. Some came out laughing and some were frightened at the door and changed their mind and didn’t go in. A young lady slid in with her back against the door.

This Is My Lucky Day!

It's been a long time since scammers have contacted me with offers of unbelievable riches. At one time I had a stack of offers that probably measured three or four inches deep which I eventually threw away. I was beginning to feel neglected. Just kidding. This is my lucky day!

Clay and Anthony were out Friday painting the front of the museum. The columns are up and painted and the front has been scraped and painted. It’s really attractive now to drive by and admire. Clay has worked on getting the doors so you don’t have to use such force to open or close them.

Halloween's A Comin'

Ah, Halloween–a time that tries the souls of Martha Stewart wannabes such as myself. This is the one time I ignore my inner couch potato and just go for it. When our children were small we moved to South America; a land of continuous warm weather interrupted only by short bursts of rain.

Saturday a group of 12 ladies came for a tour while their husbands were in a meeting. They were from several different places, Ponca City to Elk City. It is such a pleasure for us to get to tell about the history of the home. Before they left a family of four came in.

A Lamp to My Feet

The last several months have really been hectic for me. Hopefully, I can get back into my “normal” routine. Today, we will look at Jonah chapter 4. Remember the outline of Jonah: 1 –Running Away From God; 2 – Running to God; 3 – Running With God; 4 – Running Ahead of God.
