Fall Wrap up of Great Cross Country Season

The Geary cross country team gathered Wednesday evening for food and fellowship to celebrate a successful cross country season. Grandma Bates and family provided Indian tacos and Amy Estep provided a fruit salad dessert for the runners. Thursday morning saw the conclusion of the middle school season as 54 schools met in Chickasha for the Class 2A All-Star meet. The girls’ team finished 15th and the boys’ team was 13th. The top girl runner was Olivia Helmer and the top boy runner was Tavin Castleberry. Numerous runners achieved their personal best times of the year as they peaked at the right time. It was another great day to be a Bison!

The Geary cross country teams had 40 runners compete Saturday at the Chisholm/OBA meet in Enid. Rylan Peralta won the high school boys Class A race.

Geary CC Second at Shawnee Meet

It was a big day for the Geary Cross Country teams Sept. 16 at the North Rock Creek meet in Shawnee. The high school girls finished in second place in the “Class A” race. The high school boys team finished in a threeway tie for first but the tiebreaker placed them second. Malena Beaver was the top girl placer and Rylan Peralta finished in second place overall. The middle school boys team placed ninth with Tavin Castleberry medaling once again. Olivia Helmer was the top placer for the middle school girls’ team. Mason Beartrack finished in first place in the elementary race with Lily Noline the top girl placer.
