Geary Takes on MVG

Watonga Sweeps Tuesday Games

Watonga girls and boys basketball both defeated the Canton Tigers on Tuesday night at home, while the Eagles wrestling team also notched a victory in its dual with Hobart. The Lady Eagles beat Canton 40-26 and are now undefeated on the young season at 3-0. The boys’ win was their seccond in a row, as they defeated Canton 59-41. Athlete Spotlight: Watonga Senior Makes Comeback After ACL Injury

Osten Robert Reyes is a senior at Watonga High School, and playing his last season wearing red and white for the Eagle basketball team. Reyes is a sharpshooter and a starter for the Watonga basketball team. However, things have not always gone so easy in his basketball career. During his junior year, Reyes suffered an injury to the ACL in his knee, putting him out of all activities for nearly 10 months.

Athlete Spotlight: Watonga Lineman Aspires To Play College Ball

WATONGA – Former Geary student Kale Smith moved to Watonga in August, leaving behind all his friends and teammates. However, the struggles of being the new kid didn’t deter Smith from what he loved to do – playing sports. He jumped into summer baseball with Watonga, playing catcher and left field, where he met some close friends he would keep throughout the upcoming football season.
