The Watonga Eagles tore onto the field (at top) October 6 in the senior night performance against Cashion. The players proved they were strong enough to wear pink during the Pink Out against cancer.
The Geary cross country teams had 40 runners compete Saturday at the Chisholm/OBA meet in Enid. Rylan Peralta won the high school boys Class A race.
Also receiving medals were high schoolers Randi Upchego and Malena Beaver along with third grader Lillianna Albiston.
It was a big day for the Geary Cross Country teams Sept. 16 at the North Rock Creek meet in Shawnee. The high school girls finished in second place in the “Class A” race. The high school boys team finished in a threeway tie for first but the tiebreaker placed them second.
Even though the football game didn’t end as hoped, it was still homecoming at Watonga High School. Spirit was provided by cheerleaders, top. Fearless passing moves were shown by Talen Smith, above,left, and the band kept the music flowing when not staying busy with socializing, above right.
