Brandts Painting on East Main had the honor to paint four rides at the Geary fairgrounds prior to this year’s fair. The Geary Tri County Free fair, founded in 1901 has no entry fee to enter the carnival or exhibits. All rides are owned by the Chamber of Commerce and are run by local volunteers.

Coaches, Players Unfazed by Thomas Game

Watonga head football coach Clint Benway was only slightly disappointed with the outcome of the Friday game against Thomas- Fay- Custer, despite the final 19-12 score. “We created four turnovers on defense and we scored on defense as well,” Benway said.

Calumet Baseball on Hot Streak

The Calumet baseball team won the Okarche /AmPo tournament in a clean sweep over the weekend. The team is riding the crest of an undefeated wave, currently 13-0 on the season, including taking top honors at the Leedey tournament, beating both Vici and host Leedey, 10-0 and 111, respectively.
