Cheer Tryouts Set

Those wishing to try out for Bison Cheer team should plan on attending a cheer clinic from 3:45-6 p.m. May 3-5. The clinic will teach routines and other material necessary to perform at the tryouts. The tryouts themselves will be held from 2-4 p.m. May 6.

Ezra Howard, Eduardo Sanchez and Luke Posey participated in BPA State Leadership Conference in Tulsa. Eduardo took a bronze medal in two competitions, database applications and SQL database fundamentals.

Some students from the middle school and high school Super Smash Bros. teams competed March 11 in another regional qualifier tournament. All the students played well, but Brandon Contreras (above, left) went completely undefeated and won the whole tournament.

Eagle Band Wows at District

On March 8 the Watonga High School band competed in Alva at the OSSAA District Concert Band and Solo/Ensemble Contest. The band received straight ‘1’ rankings in large group and a ‘1’ in sightreading. These scores qualify the band to compete March 28 in Ada at the state level.
