Watonga Falls to Minco, Look Ahead to Cashion

Watonga lost to Minco Friday night by a score of 6-41 in front of a home crowd, bringing the Eagles to a 2-4 record for the season. They play Cashion next at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at Cashion. This will be a district game.

Geary-Wilson Game Played at El Reno's Memorial Stadium

The Geary-Wilson game played on Thursday, September 25 was at a neutral site, in this case El Reno's Memorial Stadium. Although the Bison suffered a loss to the Wilson Eagles, the players did gain valuable experience playing on Astroturf at the 5A high school stadium.

Eagles Hope to Even Record for Homecoming

The Watonga Eagles took a loss on the road against Crescent Friday night, bringing the 2022-23 record to 2-3. The score was 15-48. Hopes are to even that out in front of a homecoming crowd Sept. 30 against the Minco Bulldogs.

Geary Cross Country Takes on Hennessey

The Geary cross country teams had 25 runners who competed Saturday, September 17 at Hennessey. This was the biggest and toughest meet so far for the Bison as it featured almost 30 schools, many of them being much larger schools. HS senior Matthew Martin finished 28th out of 142 runners.

The five seniors and their family members were recognized at the last home fast pitch softball game of the season Thursday. The girls received gifts of appreciation after presenting sunflower floral arrangements to their parents.

Senior Liza Bruner is an active student at Watonga High School. She is a captain of both the cheer and softball team, and vice president of Student Council. Bruner enjoys being active and involved in school in her spare time and she enjoys spending time with her friends.
