The Eagles and Lady Eagles both emerged victorious Tuesday night after their road games at Crescent. The Watonga girls won 61-21, while the boys topped the Tigers 57-34. The teams return on Thursday at the Coyle Tournament; the boys will face Oilton in round one at 11:20 a.m.

Geary Prepares for Tourney

The city of Geary is preparing for the return of the Geary Invitational Wrestling Tournament on Jan. 7 and 8, 2022. It will be the first Geary Tournament held since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tournament organizers are currently seeking donations for the hospitality room.

Watonga Grad Inducted Into Coaches HOF

Watonga native and 1982 graduate, Cliff Ice, son of Bill and Prissy Ice, was inducted into the Missouri Football Coaches Hall of Fame on Friday, Dec. 10. Coach Ice graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1987.
