Congratulations to Gary and Dixie Williams, who recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 28! The couple was married in 1971 at Watonga’s First Baptist Church. Gary is a Watonga native, and the couple now lives southwest of Geary. Be sure to wish these two a very Happy Anniversary when you see them out and about!

FCCLA Officers Receive Leadership Training

GEARY – Six FCCLA members from the Geary Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America chapter recently attended the 2021 Lead Chapter Officer Training Conference. The Lead Conference, one of four planned around the state, was September 16th at the Chisholm Trail Expo in Enid, OK.

Wyatt Johnson and Stacia Wallace excitedly announce their engagement. Stacia is a 2015 graduate of Watertown High School in Watertown, NY. Stacia attends Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri and will complete the paramedic program Spring 2022. Stacia works for Mercy EMS and Newton County EMS as an EMT. Stacia is the daughter of Rick and Susan Wallace of Neosho, MO.

Masonic Lodge Donates to Watonga Food Bank

Hightower, Jackson Named Homecoming Royalty

Adalyn Hightower and Joe Jackson were named the 2021 Watonga Homecoming Queen and King during a ceremony Friday before Watonga's game against North Rock Creek, capping off a week of Homecoming activities for the Eagles. Check out more Homecoming photos on Page A14.

Geary Man Arrested, Charged with Child Sex Abuse

GEARY – A Geary man was arrested in early October after a Department of Human Services caseworker approached the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office about possible sexual abuse of a child. Geoffrey Lloyd, 32, was booked into the Blaine County Jail and later charged with child sex abuse.
