County Commissioners Approve CPR Assistance Units

When the Blaine County Commission met in regular session Feb. 5, it was faced with a variety of topics. Many were standard operating procedures, accepting reports from various departments in the county, making appropriations and approving blanket purchase orders, basically paying the bills.

Tradition, Not Addiction

The Indigenous Student Association at Southwestern Oklahoma State University announced the rescheduled date – 6 p.m. Feb. 5 --for hosting the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes’ Tradition Not Addiction program.

Bill Would Move School Board Elections

OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Chris Banning, RBixby, has filed legislation seeking to change the date of school board elections in Oklahoma. House Bill 3563 would place school board members on the same cycle as House and Senate elections.

Early Voting Begins

Early voting begins Thursday, Feb. 8 for voters in Canadian County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on election day have the option of voting early at their County Election Board. Canadian County Election Board Secretary Allen Arnold said early voting is open to all voters.
