Hi, everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful day with our son and daughter and some of the grandkids. We met once again at the Senior Citizens’ Center. We had lots of good food and time to visit. Our grandson entertained us by playing the piano.

The Frustration Before Christmas

I swear, if I get any more sloth-like it'll be Christmas 2024 (or maybe even 2025, who knows?) before I get the two stockings I'm presently working on finished. I had thought about making one for David, our kids, kids-inlaw and myself but I'm not sure if that will happen this year.

Holiday Sale at OHC Museum Store

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma History Center’s annual holiday sale in the Museum Store will take place Friday, December 1, and Saturday, December 2. Oklahoma Historical Society members will get a total discount of 25%. Staff and volunteers will get a total discount of 30%.

Giving Tuesday Focus on OSU Student Farm

The Oklahoma State University Student Farm grew more than 54,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables in 2023 for Oklahomans facing food insecurity. The farm’s dedicated effort to address local hunger issues is the primary focus of the OSU Foundation’s Giving Tuesday campaign, which falls on Nov.

Although Reduced, COVID Still Among Us

It has been several months since there has been an uptick in cases of COVID in the area. Statewide, as of April, there have been more than 1.3 million cases reported in Oklahoma and more than 16,000 deaths attributed to the virus.

Backyard Flocks Susceptible to Avian Influenza

All Oklahoma poultry producers and backyard flock owners should remain alert and practice strict biosecurity protocols to prevent Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. The virus has been reported in backyard poultry flocks in Carter, Wagoner and Grady counties and a domestic swan in Oklahoma County.
