City Wrestles With Mandatory Trash Pickup

When Watonga City Council last met Oct. 17, it agreed to accept the donation of 22 lots in the Sweet Addition to the city. The property was formerly owned by Opportunities Development Corporation.
In keeping with its reputation for brilliantly painted murals and buildings, Okeene is in the running for an award from Paint Oklahoma Beautiful, an arm of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful. The project up for the accolades is the new paint job on the former blacksmith shop across the street from the Okeene Hospital. Hopes are the building will continue to be dressed up with period symbols of the smithing trade.
