Scheihing Girls Shine Big in Tulsa

Kelsi Scheihing, (Above) a Watonga High School senior, exhibited her goats at the Tulsa State Fair October 2-4, 2023. She had 24th overall market goat and made the premium sale. Only 150 out of 2000 exhibitors make the premium sale, so this is a huge accomplishment!

Blaine Educators Meet

Blaine County Retired Teachers met Oct 9 at the Noble House for the monthly group meeting. Rep. Mike Dobrinski of Okeene was the speaker. He gave a very informative presentation concerning not only what is happening in education, but also comments on what may happen.

Japan Seeks to Dissolve Unification Church

TOKYO (AP) — Japan’s government asked a court Friday to revoke the legal status of the Unification Church after an Education Ministry investigation concluded the group for decades has systematically manipulated its followers into donating money, sowing fear and harming their families.

Limb Pickup to Begin Next Month

At its regular monthly meeting, Watonga City Council determined that the city would and should pick up so-called green debris from its residents. The pickup will be on an every-other-month schedule beginning in November. But, warned city attorney Jared Harrison, there are guidelines.
