Commissioners Lift Burn Ban After Storms

WATONGA – The Blaine County commissioners voted Monday to lift the countywide outdoor burn ban after storms rolled through that morning and gave the area some muchneeded precipitation. The ban has been in place off and on since December amid unusually dry weather in western Oklahoma.

Local Students Among 1,300 UCO Grads this Spring

The University of Central Oklahoma will celebrate the achievements of approximately 1,351 graduates during the Spring 2022 Commencement Ceremonies May 6-7, in Central’s Hamilton Field House. UCO President Patti Neuhold-Ravikumar will offer comments at each of the university’s five ceremonies.
