WATONGA – Meteorologists are predicting with increasing certainty that Watonga and much of Oklahoma will be slammed with a significant winter storm by the middle of this week.
Cheyenne and Arapaho recently signed documents placing 6.812 acres of land off Hwy. I-40 south of Geary, Okla. into trust on Jan. 25, 2022. The land, known commonly as the Rodeo Joe’s tract, is the second parcel of land to be placed into trust for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes under the Wassana/Miles administration.

Inclement Weather Sends Car Into Geary Pond

GEARY – Snowy roads were behind a slide-off wreck last Wednesday, Jan. 26, that sent a car into a private pond in Geary. The pond is located off US-281 just southeast of downtown. No significant injuries resulted from the crash, officials said.
Cloverbuds participating were: Sage Scheihing of Watonga, Heath Burghardt, Timber Burghardt, Raylee Fisher, Remi Nault and Taylor Robison of Okeene Cloverbuds.

BLAINE COUNTY — The Blaine County 4-H Public Speaking Contest was held January 23, 2022. 4-H Members presented presentations on a wide variety of topics. 4-H members could do a speech, an illustrated speech, a team illustrated presentation or a power point presentation.
