GEARY – A fire completely destroyed one home and severely damaged another Friday morning in Geary, sending crews to the scene to battle the blaze for hours. The fire consumed a home at NW 2nd Street and Cheyenne Avenue, on the northeast corner of the intersection.

Geary volunteer firefighters Jeff Choate and Ben Nicolai visited with some of the Geary Elementary classes as part of Fire Safety Month. They quizzed students on safe and unsafe objects students might find, and showed them the equipment firefighters wear when responding to a fire.

STILLWATER — The OERB hosted a First Responder Training workshop at the OSU Fire Service Training Center in Stillwater to educate firefighters about the best practices in developing a response plan for oil and natural gas sites.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great thanksgiving. There were nine of us that met at Golden Corral in OKC. It was a very good meal and everyone got to eat what they wanted. We had a good time together. Well, it was a short week for us with the center being closed for thanksgiving for two days.
