WATONGA – The Watonga Seniors Citizens Club is hosting an old-fashioned sock hop this Saturday, Aug. 7 from 7 to 10 p.m. at City Hall. Featuring music of the 1950s and ‘60s, this dance costs $5 to attend and includes refreshments.

Highway 281 Under Construction Near Geary

GEARY – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has begun work on a $1 million project that will resurface the US-281 spur between Geary and I-40 in Canadian County. Drivers will notice reduced speed limits in the area while crews get to work.
