Funeral service for Glendola Mae Spencer, (May 23, 1937 - March 15, 2021) will be Friday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at the Oasis Church in Watonga on Main Street. Followed by a graveside service then family and friends will gather for food and fellowship.

Graveside services for Larry Don Merkey, 65 of Thomas, OK resident was held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Custer Independence Cemetery with David Beck officiating. Service are held by Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas.

Virgil Wayne George passed away on Monday, May 24th, 2021. He was born November 16th, 1942 to Audra and Bernice George in Harper, Kansas. On September 14th, 1975 he was married to Connie Sue Mendell in Loyal, Oklahoma.

James Ray Tech, 62, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on May 24, 2021. James was born March 19, 1959, in Okarche, OK to Fred and Virginia Tech.

In Geary, Oklahoma, Arlie Elwin Isley was born January 6, 1934 to Lloyd S. Isley and Verna M. Jones Isley in the middle of winter. Arlie passed in Yukon, Oklahoma, on May 20, 2021, at the age of 87 as spring was ending.

Billy Joe Greer was born July 15, 1953 in Watonga, OK to Grady and Mabel McCrary Greer and passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the age of 67. Billy attended and graduated from Watonga high school and was a resident of the Watonga Community for most of his life.

Jacquelyn Rae Lucas was born December 28, 1981 in Muskegon, Michigan to Dana Kyle and Debra Lorraine (Line) Lucas. She passed away in a car accident on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 39. Jacquelyn graduated from Watonga High School and then from SWOSU in Weatherford with a bachelor’s degree and a Master’s Degree in counseling. She worked as a Licensed Practical Counselor until 2017. She and Leroy Richardson owned and operated Smoked Out BBQ restaurant, food truck, and catering business. Jacque loved to work and enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Kelly Hobart Schenk was born October 31st, 1940, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Beryl Schenk, and passed away May 13th, 2021, at the age of 80. He was a resident of the Watonga community for over 50 years, where he was an x-ray and lab technician at the Watonga Municipal Hospital. After graduating from Hitchcock High School in May 1958, he attended Oklahoma State University for three years and then completed his studies in radiological technology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services for Arlyn Ralph Fansler, an 81 year-old Weatherford resident, will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in “The Chapel” of Lockstone Funeral Home with Barry Rutherford and Aaron Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery, southeast of Fay.

Beverly Jean Cannon was born January 21, 1935 at Valley Center, KS to Ido Franklin Bright and Gladyis Lewis Bright, and passed away April 22, 2021 at 86 years of age. She was a resident of the Watonga community for over 50 years, where she was an LPN at the Watonga Nursing Home. She graduated from Valley Center High school in Kansas in 1953 and then attended Nursing School in Clinton, Oklahoma. She was married to Ernest G. Cannon, Jr. at the Watonga Methodist Church on November 20, 1970.
