We had a table at the Blaine County Fair to possibly get new members. We had one couple and an individual sign up. Welcome to Friends of the Ferguson Home.
It's that time of year, folks! It's the time of year when we look forward to watching our little ones trying to learn a new sport. The only thing we grandparents get more excited about is our annual physicals. At least with our physicals, we know something exciting will happen, like a colonoscopy.
Hi everyone! It’s already been another week. We had some good rain this last week. Sounds like the next week is just going to be hot. Try to stay in where it’s cool.
We had a surprise Saturday. Mr. & Mrs. Ken Enlow were in the area for his class reunion and decided to see if we were open. They said it was nice to drive by and see the open flag flying in the wind. They are the family that donated the Cornish-American Organ last December.
Before I get started on this lesson I want to update you on my daughter’s condition. The last 2 weeks have been very hectic for me and my wife. My daughter’s condition has gotten worse. Her liver has been taken over by the cancer. This last Friday, she was admitted as a Hospice patient.
Ah, fall, can you please get here a little quicker? I hate hot weather. I hate sunburns. I hate sweating. I hate (well, maybe not hate, but I strongly dislike) summer.
Hi everyone! Its been a good week here at the center. The weatherman says we may get some rain but it all seems to go around us. Well see!! Our meals on wheels deliverers last week were Karen Dugger and Mary Brown (2 days), Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman.
We had two teenage boys come for a tour this week, they said they were interested in history. So good to hear young people still are interested in history.
Sandra our newest member of Friends of the Ferguson Home was out Saturday working in the flower beds.
In the District:
It was great to be back in the district to visit with community leaders and business owners in Stillwater, Perry and Pawnee during the month of July. We discussed several important federal and local issues and their impact on communities around Oklahoma’s Third District.
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) reports a continued decline in both initial and continued claims, with both four-week moving averages declining. The agency also continues to prioritize reviewing Back-to-Work applications.
