WATONGA – Another Watonga athlete has made her college choice, as Kaylee Roberts last week signed a letter of intent to attend Centenary College of Louisiana and play golf for the Ladies, as their female athletes are known.

Hussey Signs on to Play College Basketball at NOC

WATONGA – Watonga multisport star Landri Hussey has decided on her college path, and the school gathered to celebrate her last week. Surrounded by family and coaches, Hussey committed to play basketball at Northern Oklahoma College during a ceremony at the Watonga High gymnasium last Thursday, April 14.

Athlete Spotlight: Film Lover and Senior Joseph Kalicki

Joseph Kalicki is a senior at Watonga High School and aspires to be involved in film production in the future. He plays baseball, and is in a number of organizations like the National Honors Society, Student Council, Academic Bowl, a number of others. He’s ready to graduate and go up to the city, which will be the biggest change of his life. He enjoys theater, hanging out with friends and girlfriend Brailey Cowan, and working. Joseph enjoys helping people, and seeing people smile. “I like volun teering a lot, I just like seeing people happy,” he said.

The high school softball team finished the competitive Hinton tournament with 2 wins and 3 losses. The Lady Bison next have an away game with Okeene April 7. Coach Bridget Goodknight said there has been strong interest in slow pitch with 20 girls playing on the high school team.
