Athlete Spotlight: Future Collegiate Pole Vaulter Alyssa Bay

Alyssa Bay is 17 and a senior at Watonga High School. She’s involved in many activities and sports, her favorite being track and field where she pole vaults. Alyssa has signed her letter of intent to continue her pole vaulting career at Tiffin University, where she’ll change from wearing Watonga Eagle red to Tiffin Dragon green. She also participated in fastpitch softball and cross country. She enjoys painting, reading, and spending quality time with her best friend Suzie and her boyfriend Tyler.

Athlete Spotlight: Watonga Valedictorian Adalyn Hightower

Adalyn Hightower is a senior at Watonga High School. She’s on the Scholastics and Academic Bowl teams, and she is the president of Student Council. Adylyn runs cross country and does throwing in track, she cheered for the Watonga Eagles, and she was the drum major for the marching band. Adylyn was awarded football homecoming queen in the fall, and she is now preparing to graduate as valedictorian of her class.

Watonga Golf Team Tees Off

WATONGA – Basketball season recently came to an end for the Watonga Eagles, but that doesn’t mean Coach Brandon Gallagher is done with athletics for the year. On Monday, Gallagher took a small group of high school girls to their first tournament in Enid, the debut match for the brand-new Watonga golf team.
