Geary Public Schools Offering Free Sports Physicals to Student-Athletes

On July 21, Geary Public Schools will offer free sports physicals for kids entering grades 5-12. Beginning at 9 a.m. at Stegall-Long Fieldhouse, all student-athletes who intend to play sports this school year must have a physical on file in order to participate in activities.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Now that the NFL’s Washington Redskins have retired their contentious nickname and logo after decades of objection and amid a nationwide movement calling for racial justice, the MLB’s Cleveland Indians appear to be the next major sports franchise that might assume a new identity.

Lady Eagles’ Cheerleading Tryouts Rescheduled

Watonga Public Schools announced late Tuesday night on its official Facebook page that practices and tryouts for Lady Eagles’ varsity cheerleading (incoming grades 9-12) were rescheduled for next week. On July 15-17, Watonga will host practices from 8-11 a.m.
