We’re in Ezekiel this week. He is another of what are called the major prophets; the others are Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel. Many Christians are trying their best to seek and save the lost. We want to be fishers of men. Some of us are pretty pushy when we try to share the gospel with others. Ezekiel 3 shows why we are. Notice how important Ezekiel’s ministry was and compare it to our ministry today.

Former Watonga Resident Chelvin Webb Killed in a Fatal Accident

Former Watonga resident Chelvin Webb, 24, died Sunday in a two-vehicle crash involving in Kay County near Braman, Oklahoma. Both Webb and a semitruck were traveling northbound on 1-35 when Webb lost control of his vehicle and hit a bridge railing, according to a report by trooper Snyder of the state patrol.

Tornadoes, and Fires, and Ice Storms, Oh My!

Alan Fletcher, director for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes’ Emergency Management Program, has lofty plans for an emergency response center within Geary’s city limits. First, he needs to find suitable land for the project, as the facility could take up at least five acres or about three city blocks.

Candidates Officially Named

With local election day scheduled for April 6, candidates across Blaine County have filed their paperwork to run for open seats. This year, 38 residents across Blaine County filed for candidacy with seven in Geary and nine in Watonga.

Fallen Waynoka Firefighters Honored

After a deadly house fire last week, firefighters from around the state gathered in Waynoka over the weekend to honor two fallen firefighters. Waynoka firefighter Tayler Bradford and Fire Chief Lonnie Bolar died after trying to rescue two people, Jim Jones and Mylinda Walker, trapped in a house fire on Jan.

As of February 9, there were 406,064 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 1,070 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 53 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 3,870.

Blaine County Health Department is in full force

As they continue to face off against COVID-19 both in testing and vaccination, the Blaine County Health Department isn’t letting anything slow it down. Vaccination efforts across the state continue and administering the vaccine has moved to the forefront of Blaine County Health Department’s efforts.

Hi Everyone! What a week they are forecasting for us. A good week to sit home by the fire, if you have a safe place to make one. Try to stay warm and healthy. It’s been a fairly quiet week at the center. Not Much happening. I did notice an increase in exercisers when I stopped by one day. That was good to see.
