Hello Readers, Its almost spring and the library is ready for some warm weather. So in the spirit of Spring and new beginnings, we are going to waive all fines and fees this month. Bring back late and overdue books and no matter how overdue the books are, we will wipe the slate clean for you.

Hi everybody! I sure hope you enjoyed last week’s sunshine cause it looks like old man winter is returning this week. Kinda makes you look forward to those hot summer days. Things are going well at the center. Several have been coming in for exercise.

March is here and can spring be close behind? With the crazy weather system we are having it is hard to tell. One day it is sandals and the next day it could be hoodies and jackets! What would be really appreciated is rain.

It's Hard to Say Goodbye

I've been trying all day to get this column written while I have a rare day when David is out of the house. Alone time is hard to come by once your spouse retires so I try to make the most of it by sitting in my recliner making up excuses in my head as to why I'm not getting anything done.

WATONGA – The Watonga Public Schools Board of Education made new hires and approved some big projects during its regular meeting this past Monday, March 7. Ty Hussey, a longtime Watonga schoolteacher and former head basketball coach, was hired Monday as the new Watonga Middle School principal.

WATONGA – Two men were arrested in February after Watonga police pulled over a minivan in the city and found 17 men crammed inside. Juvencio Martinez-Bautista, 40, has been charged with one count of conspiracy and 17 counts of transporting or moving an illegal alien, a felony.
