Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I was sorry to hear there have been several new cases of corona detected recently. I think it has finally made it to Blaine County. Things were pretty quiet around the Center this week. we only had one person in to quilt and it was Jennie Castleberry.

The Blaine County Association of Oklahoma Home and Community Education will be holding its annual Santa’s Village and Holiday Bazaar on from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Blaine County Fairgrounds in Watonga. Admission is free and open to the public.

As of November 17, there were 158,408 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were six deaths reported in the last 24 hours. This brings the death toll to 1,544.

Pedestrian Dies From Auto-Ped Collision

A pedestrian died early Nov. 4 after he was fatally struck by a car west of Watonga. The pedestrian was walking east about 5:30 a.m. on the shoulder of US 270, halfmile west of County Road N2520 about 5 miles west of Watonga, according to a report by Oklahoma state trooper Jason Burch.
